
Service Charge Accountant | £25,000 to £40,000 pa DOE
This role presents an excellent opportunity to work in a well-established team, as a service charge accountant, at semi-senior level. You will have direct client contact, so you should be articulate and confident.
You will work in a supportive environment with on the job training and one to one training sessions. The role can be intense in our peak periods – but you’ll get the assistance required and access to resources to help you day to day.
- Review and respond to complex queries from surveyors and client accountants
- Modify year end reviews, including prepayments, accruals and other adjustments
- Monitor account functions from start to finish
- Service charge reconciliations
- Cash reconciliations
- Maintain communication amongst colleagues
- Obtain current knowledge of best practice and RICS guidelines
- Minimum of 2 - 4 years’ experience in service charges
- Part ACCA or AAT qualified is preferred
- Computer literate

Service Charge Assistant | £18,000 pa plus study support
As a Service Charge Assistant your role is the first step in the review process of the service charge for commercial and residential properties. This will help you develop a greater understanding of service charges.
You will work in a supportive environment with on the job training and one to one training sessions.
This role is perfect for a focused and enthusiastic individual with strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work.
- Summarising service charge income and expenditure to input into our bespoke Excel audit sheet
- Reconcile all service charge income and expenditure
- Allocate apportionments to the correct tenants and input into the bespoke Excel audit sheet
- Enter the service charge budget into the audit sheet and allocate budget expenditure to the correct expense codes
- Identify potential queries before the task is progressed to the next stage of the service charge review/audit
- Invoice verification
- Adhere to internal deadlines and company policies
- Communicate with management daily as to workload and upcoming deadlines.
- Part AAT qualified (desirable)

Semi-Senior Accountant | £18,000 to £25,000 pa DOE
We are now looking for a Semi-Senior Accountant with solid general practice experience to join our close-knit and proactive team. This role would best suit an individual who; has the ability to work independently as well as in a team, the ability to build strong client relationships and is wanting exposure to work on a diverse portfolio of clients or a Trainee Accountant who is ready to take the next step up in their accounting career.
As Semi-Senior Accountant you will be an integral part of the team and have a meticulous approach to work. You will undertake the following duties:
- Advanced bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients
- Preparation and submission of year end accounts to HMRC and Companies House for sole traders,
- partnerships and limited companies
- Preparation and submission of corporation tax computations
- Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
- Analysing, summarising and reconciling client accounting records
- Dealing with HMRC and Companies House correspondence
- Submission of confirmation statements
- Monthly payroll
- Associated administrative work
- Assisting with audit assignments
- Understanding and adhering to the firm’s internal procedures and external compliance requirements
- AAT / ACCA studying or qualified by experience
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience within general practice
- Knowledge of accounting systems including Xero and Sage
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and to understand the importance of accuracy
